A House for all Seasons
We collaborated with Belmond to celebrate their 35th anniversary. They are a brand that pride themselves on creating genuine celebrations over formulaic events. Therefore when the opportunity to shoot their series of special events arrived we were already looking forward to it. Our vision was clear, to capture the events beautifully and sincerely. After all, the Belmond brand is the antithesis of artifice or the overly curated. In addition, Raymond Blanc’s longstanding vision for Le Manoir was to be a place ‘enchantment’. The best in food. Full of laughter. Real celebration. Therefore all was taken in to consideration. Subsequently, becoming the lynch pins to our directing style and tone.
We produced four films for Le Manoir consisting of three events and one overview film. A Summer Party, The Protégés Dinner, and A Night of Music were all stand alone events, each requiring their own approach. The overview film explored Le Manoir through the seasons and showcased the variety.
All films are present on their main website, Belmond Le Manoir, social channels such as their Instagram and paid-for sponsored advertisement in a range of sizes and formats.

A Night of Music
To commemorate Raymond Blanc’s 70th birthday and for a grand finale to the 35th anniversary celebrations, we were honoured to film one of the brightest young stars on the classical music scene. Cellist, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, became a household name in 2019. He took the attention of the world over after playing at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at Windsor Castle. The winner of the 2016 BBC Young Musician competition, Sheku is already in great demand from major orchestras and concert halls worldwide.
Event filming is one of Palladian’s specialties and something we really enjoy capturing. Shooting at night or in low light is always a challenge but something we’re very well versed in doing. Our many years experience with music events such as at the House of Vans has primed us for shooting in these situations. Although this was a different experience entirely!
