Hotel Cafe Royal

Hotel Cafe Royal were in need of some striking food videography for their latest venture. Afterall, renowned chef Laurent Tourondel was opening his eagerly awaited new restaurant: Laurent at Cafe Royal, HCR. We sat down with the new executive chef to discuss the concept behind his eponymous restaurant. As a result, we created a series of promotional films to showcase some of his favourite dishes and what it meant to be back at HCR after so many years. Commission by Zoo Communications.

In addition to the main interview, we created a series of short social media friendly 10-15 second teaser clips. Each mini-film highlighted a different aspect of the new restaurant. Let’s be clear, food videography is an art form in itself. In addition we needed to grab the attention of a quick scrolling social media feed…So we kept subject matter simple and the visuals as stunning as possible. We highlighted the dining experience, the sushi bar, the grill and the cocktail lounge. Each short video acting as a teaser to entice the viewer to find out more.
