De La Warr Pavillion

Architectural Study
Designed by renowned architects Erich Mendelsohn and Serge Chermayeff (both leading figures of the modernist movement), De La Warr Pavillion is one of the first constructed modernist buildings in the UK. Originally designed as a 1500 seater theatre and restaurant, in 2005 it underwent extensive restoration to become one of the largest art centres in the south of England – although its striking exterior remains as originally intended by the architects. Our architectural film proudly celebrates the De La Warr Pavillion, showcasing its modernist architecture and feat of structural engineering.
