Associated British Ports

Studio Parallel reached out to us with an industrial photography brief. The concept? To document the work carried out by ABP at ‘Britain’s gateway to the world’ – Southampton Dock. Significantly, the port is the UK’s number one export port meaning it’s a critical link in the supply chains serving businesses and manufacturers throughout the nation. Although equally important to the dock itself was the arrival of the world’s largest ocean liner – Queen Mary II. Suffice to say, it was great to capture its impressive entry.

All in all, it was a great shoot, ending on some particularly satisfying news. Some of our images captured were chosen to form part of their beautifully designed and printed 2018 Annual Review Publication. We enlisted the services of skilled retoucher Adam Orzechowski to retouch the images before they went to print.
